Need some answers about the FiiT VR ( Mainly from users who have used it with an S5 )

I just ordered my FiiT VR last night, and I have some questions about it.
1.How is the performance with a Galaxy S5?
2.Can you see the sides on it? If you can, does it affect the immersion alot?
3.Is it worth it?
4.Have you ever done any mods to it to make it more immersive? If so, what?
