odin fails and prevent firmware corruption

if somehow, the flashing process via odin fails. what should i do? pull out the battery and fix the phone after it gets bricked? (firmware encountred an issue) or i should not close odin and flash one more time?

i heard something about not closing odin when it fails and keeping up with the process .. I wanna know more about it
