I've never pre-ordered through Best Buy until this year. I'm an AT&T installment plan customer. Usually I have both devices in hand when AT&T sends me the new phone and I have the old phone a few days to transfer everything via Smart Switch or whatever.
However, does Best Buy make you hand over the old device right then? If so, will Smart Switch let me back up one type of phone to my pc (my GS6) and restore to a new type of phone later?
I don't want to have to sit in Best Buy forever waiting for them to make the switch for me. I have little kids who will probably have to be with me when I pick up my new phone.
