Hey y'all, so I got a problem
I was trying to install a new ROM (CRdroid, great rom) but I accidentally wiped internal storage instead along with everything else necessary. So, the new ROM was gone, along with my stock backup.
So, I figured I could just connect it to a computer and transfer the ROM onto the phone via MTP. I downloaded it, checked the md5, dragged it over to the phone in the file browser, and it showed up on the phone just fine, but I got the error: "E: Error executing updater binary in zip..." when trying to flash it. I tried several ROMs and it still didn't work.
I thought maybe windows wasn't copying the ROMs over correctly, so I got an SD card, put the ROM on that, and tried to flash it from there but still no luck.
As suggested by several sites, I tried wiping, then flashing&getting the error, then rebooting and flashing again, but I still got the error.
What's going on?
