EMUI is surely not everyone's favorite, but maybe some of you like it, except for the forced app icon backgrounds? Or maybe you already installed another launcher (like me) an want to get rid of the last bit of EMUI design? Here is how, and its pretty easy actually:
- download and install a file explorer app, such as es file explorer (my personal favorite)
- browse to /data/skin and delete all contents, but leave the empty folder
- reboot device
potential restrictions: since i am on a rooted phone, i dont know if this is going to work on a non-rooted device, u may have to have root priviliges to gain modification access in the /data folder. also, it could be that ure removing additional theme components by deleting the whole skin folder (i.e. wallpaper). since im on nova launcher and use minima pro as a live wallpaper, it didnt concern me, so be warned! ;)
cheers
