Nexus 6p -Xposed framework won't (re)install

So, I had Xposed framework running fine(ish) on my Nexus 6p (running pureNexus) but reverted to a TWRP backup and now can't reinstall the framework.

I followed the instructions from here and installed xposed-v-80-sdk23-arm64.zip via TWRP and the xposed installer apk, after doing a full backup. I then installed GEL settings module, Greenify, and a bunch of other apps (more than i could care to remember).

I decided to revert to my backup due to a few issues with apps FCing after. My plan was to go back through, step by step and locate which apps were conflicting.

So I wiped everything, restored the backup I made immediately prior to flashing Xposed, and began the process of installing it again.

This time however, when I tried to install the exact same Xposed framework via twrp I got this error code:

Code:

chown: /system/bin/dex2oat.orig.gz: read-only file system
And the install fails....

Has anyone got any ideas how I can fix this.

Thanks
