Sprints new 3gb tethering plan

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to monitor or limit the amount of data used specifically with tethering? Sprints new plan includes unlimited everything EXCEPT tethering which is limited to 3gb with a 15 dollar over for each gig or partial gig used.
