just got Redmi 3. Unfortunately no mass storage so I am looking for a way to backup the phone to my PC. Below is what I know so far. If you know anything better, could you kindly let me know, pls?
ADB BACKUP: works following this guide: ht*tp://en.miui.com/thread-224444-1-1.html
Had to alter it a bit, but works. This app comes handy for converting backups to .tars: ht*tps://sourceforge.net/projects/adbextractor/
MY PHONE EXPLORER: android/pc app combo. Contacts etc does not work, but dloading Memory Card and System Storage does work.
HELIUM: android/pc app combo, seems to work, limited free version
MiPCSuite: does not work for this phone, "thanks" to Xiaomi management :(
