recently my Zenfone 2 died and I need to get a new phone before college year starts, I'm looking for a phone for 300$ or less what I'm concerned for is simple, good for media, so a good screen, a good CPU and also it'll be really nice id it doesn't overheat because I still feel bad for my hands from back when I had the Nexus 4 (AKA the portable Oven)...
software doesn't matter at all as I'll probably use it for 2 days then Flash CM or something similar
few <300$ options I found on the internet that you probably didn't consider (my options aren't limited to those, mainly old flagships):
LG G4
LG V10
OnePlus Two
LG Nexus 5X (I'd rather wait for next version TBH)
Sony Xperia Z3+
