Question about a500 and minecraft pocket addition

Hello, I have been looking trying to find out is their a way to install marshmallow or some android version updated to were my son can play mine craft pocket addition on this tablet. Its acer a500 android version 4.0.3, image ver acer_av041_a500_rv21rc03_ww_gen1. I am not rooted at this time as i do not mess with this tablet much any more. Gave it to son to play on. Any help or direction would be great.
