So right now I have my phone updated successfully (after messing it up...twice...) to 4.1.2. To be honest after using so many kernels trying to fix it, I can't remember the exact name but info says my kernel is 2.6.32.9-FXP, and I see a unicorn thing when it boots up. CM10 for the CyanogenMod version.
I tried using this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_fIiwfEnsQ
But when I did it just vibrated once when I turned it on and the screen stayed off. (reinstalled my old kernel and it works fine)
I'm wondering if I missed a step or perhaps it doesn't work on the R800x?
I just want to be able to play Pokemon Go, to be honest :p, so 5.0.2 isn't exactly necessary. Battery life and reliable phone calls would be top priority given at least Android 4.4
