Contacts app not actually sorting by last name

On SCH I545, MDK bootloader, with Albe95.S6.FULL.PORT.4.7.G925FXXU2COH2, just installed today. In contacts, I checked to list by last name and sort by last name. It lists by last name, but still sorts by first name.
Tried to post on that thread, but as I just made my account I was not allowed to.
