I have a Kindle Fire HD 6 that appears to be bricked...
I did not do the attempted root, so I'm not sure what went into it, but I know it has been tinkered with.
It boots to the Fire System Recovery screen, giving the option to Reboot or Reset to Factory Defaults. Both options result in a reboot to the same screen.
The system recovery screen has a series of lines of code at the bottom such as:
E: failed to mount ...
E: Can't mount ...
E: Can't open ...
I have tried booting while holding the volume button down, power button, etc. with no luck.
any ideas? is it done for?
note: it is no longer in warranty, so that's not an option
