Installing Layers - Commute UI and Evolve just makes it boot infinitely

I've never done this before, but I bought Commute UI and also downloaded Evolve and attempted to install them via Layers Manager. I just selected all of the options on both of them, hit install, and then rebooted, but it just made my device boot seemingly infinitely.

I'm on rooted 5.1.1 with the ElementalX kernel. Am I doing something wrong?
