Is OUDHS recovery still fine for newer ROMs?

I originally set up my S4 with CM 10 (Jelly Bean) using OUDHS recovery. I'm now looking to overhaul it to CM 11 (Kit Kat) or newer. Do I need to switch over to TWRP (since OUDHS is no longer being developed), or is OUDHS still fine for all newer ROMs?

I tried to ask in the official OUDHS thread, but got no answer.
