The last device I purchased was a Droid Bionic, and back then there was a clear path to obtain root access, and stickies describing the process. I just got a used Verizon M9 on eBay, and it's been updated to the latest software; the only instructions I've found aren't going to work for me. Where are the pertinent threads? I'm not dense, and I've browsed plenty. I just can't find what I'm looking for.
FWIW I only need root access so I can tether. Sure I'd like to flash ROM's too, but that's secondary.
