Hey, bought a s4 with a broken screen I was planning to replace myself. I got the glass off fine with no damage to digitizer cable. I tried the touch out and found that the touchscreen works when in my hand but on wood and carpet it wont work. It works sitting on top metal and other materials that ground well and let a current through. As soon as I use it on wood it responds to few of my touches. I saw other people with similar problems but never with the s4. I have tried putting tinfoil on back cover and it didn't help. Have also tried with different boards and trying with board sitting outside phone. Any Ideas?
