Hello,
I got a little "First world problem".
I used my Z1 mainly for music with Viper4Android and special mixer_path.xml modification (my AKG headphones are capped at 121db ..and i'm on that limit with my Z1) and perfectly clear sound.
I buyed a Xperia Z5 2 weeks ago and thought i can replace my old Z1, but even with stock mixer_path and Viper4Android the sound with high bass is a bit distorted. And I can't get the quality i archieved with my Z1.
I searched the web if it's hardware related (Maybe a soundchip in Z1 and removed in newer Xperia devices) but i couldn't find anything.. so... i'm afraid maybe it's the phone .. or Android Marshmallow..
Is there anyone who can compare his Z1 Headphone output with Z5 output? Is it Marshmallow related or is it my Z5?
Note: Except Viper4Android is no soundmod installed on my Z1 ... just HPHL and HPHR volume is raised..
