Can I assign apps to physical buttons?

For example, to the menu button, i want to assign Screen filter app. When I press and hold the menu button, Screen Filter will start working.
I'm using Resurrection Remix 4.4.2 rom. These are similar settings but it isn't allowing to set an app. Is there any way to do it?:confused:
