I've dived into the world of non-stock Android and am feeling well out of my comfort zone and hoping for a small nudge in the right direction.
With two Nexus 4s to play with, I've currently got both loaded with different Marshmallow ROMs. One is the Frank N4 ASOP Stable M and the other I found somewhere and is called 'Minimal Mako'. Both are using Benzo GAPPS.
What is doing in my head is knowing what to load, and how reliable it is likely to be. Ultimately one of these is destined for my wife to use, so I want it to work without too many quirks (like the flash being out of sync on the camera app).
Maybe I should go back to stock on the one for my wife and leave it at 5.1.1, but I wanted the battery saving features in 6.0.
So how do I pick the most stable (if not most cutting edge), and generally how do I go about choosing?
The Frank ROM I'm running doesn't seem to have had any updates for a couple of weeks, so is this a good sign, or is the developer simply not working on it (as a newby I can't yet post in the developer's thread).
Please help before I melt down and go back to stock with my tail between my legs.
