The screen had gone

Hello there. So, this is my issue: yesterday I used my phone while it was raining really hard, it get a few raindrops during the night LCD screen shut down and I wasn't able to make it work again. Actually the phone is laying in a bowl full of rice(I heard it should work to reduce humidity, hope it could work :P). What else can I do before to send it back to assistance ?
