Hi all,
I recently faced a weird situation. I own a Moto G(XT 1033) 1st Gen. I had some photos clicked on 22 Dec. Then the phone switched off due to mistakenly pressing Power button, when it turned on, there was "Android, Optimizing app XX of XX" which took quite some time. Then, I noticed all the photos taken on that day were completely erased. Previous ones still present. I find this weird and I want to recover the photos.
Apps like Dr. Fone failed. Only solution suggested was to root. I tried using Kingo root(as suggested by the EaseUS recovery software which I plan to use after rooting) but I get rooting failed. I think I need to unlock the bootloader before doing so. My query is Won't the whole rooting process whipe out the whole memory and hence the recovery be almost impossible(as we are not suggested to overwrite memory prior to recovery)
Please, I need urgent help. Thanking you in anticipation
