I'm currently using a OnePlus One, but would like to go with a smaller screen again. I picked up a 5x over Black Friday, but am having second thoughts.
The m9 looks like a great phone, and current prices are about the same as the 5x. But the benefits are the faster processor, bigger battery, etc. It's essentially the Nexus 6p but with a smaller screen. I've been reading about a lot of issues with the 5x due to cpu throttling and only 2GB ram. I'm also hoping the early reviews with the m9's heat issues have been resolved.
The m9 ticks off all the boxes for me, except one: developer support
I would be getting the unlocked m9 (originally with ATT) and am a little confused about where to look for custom ROMs. Can I flash ROMs from the (general) One m9 threads, or can I only flash ATT-specific ROMs? This is where I think the 5x will eventually shine since it is a Nexus device and developer support is always pretty good with Nexii.
Any opinions on going with the m9 vs the 5x?
Thanks in advance!
