Hello folks! Your friendly neighborhood Dragon here wondering what the desire for a touchwiz based, heavily modded, stripped down rom looks like?
I have experience creating such roms for other devices such as the ZTE Awe and HTC Desire 510 alongside my merry good friends as co-founder of Team YAR. As you may expect, there really isn't much to look at in terms of a complete custom software such as CM or MIUI. Our basis and prime directive so far has been to completely remove the bloat, junkware and overall unnecessary background processes that come preinstalled on low-end phones (pretty much all of which we have no use for) while leaving the base Android and manufacturer functionality in tact, creating a more pleasing, lightweight user experience. We at Team YAR are far from calling ourselves professionals: we like to think of ourselves as "aficionados" of the Android platform. We know what people are looking for when it comes to their devices. Make it work and make it work WELL, beyond the aspirations and desires of the software and hardware creators.
I have already heavily modified my own Grand Prime (530T), removing nearly EVERYTHING that has to do with Samsung or T-Mobile and whatever else have you. Just as well I've enabled some very handy scripts and software modifications that have turned my phone into an absolute BEAST when it comes to battery life and usability while simultaneously enhancing its performance and stability. That's kind of our forte at Team YAR.
So I propose this question to you fine ladies and gentlemen:
Would you like Team YAR to create and release such a simple yet effective modified stock-based rom? Or would you rather a tutorial of sorts (in either video or written form; perhaps both) to instruct you on modifying your system yourself as releasing a full-fledged rom might seem redundant to some?
We at Team YAR are an ambitious trio who are here to cater to the desires and needs of the Android modding community, so please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions that might help us understand what your looking for. We anxiously await your response.
Good day and Merry Christmas
