Okay guys, I have previously owned an Aluminum 32gb 6P. I absoluetely loved this phone. I was interested in the Galaxy Note 5 because I have had numerous Note phones over the life of them. I ended up trading my new Nexus 6P for a Note 5. I definitely do not regret it, as the Note 5 is an incredible phone. With that being said, I do really miss my 6P, and having a Nexus device in general.
I had decided that I was going to sell my work phone (HTC One M9) and use the money to purchase a Nexus 5X. After watching numerous videos about the 5X, I was pretty excited to go ahead and order. I then stumbled across a couple of reputible youtube reviewers, who agreed that it is an awesome phone, but that they had issues with performance, and that sometimes the 5X would slow to a crawl. I started doing a little more digging, and found a few written articles about this same performance issue with the 5X.
This brings me to my question. Do I sell my HTC, and purchase the 5X? It is on sale for $50 off PLUS free overnight shipping. I love free overnight shipping because it is as close as I can get to instant gratification when purchasing something online. Next, I noticed when looking at the 5X on the Google Play Store, that the 6P is also $50 off, and again, free overnight shipping. Do I pull the trigger on the phone that I had loved so much? If so do I get aluminum again, or go with the graphite that I originally wanted the first go around?- it had not been available the first time.
Choices, choices...
5X?
6P?
What color?
Another reason I want to go back to one of the two new Nexus devices is because I just purchased a sweet new laptop- The Asus Zenbook Pro. This laptop has USB-C so I can plug straight up to it without any adapters.
I am going to go ahead and purchase one tomorrow so that I will hopefully receive it by Tuesday, or Wednesday at the latest. Then once I swap my SIM, I will focus on unloading the HTC on Craigslist.
I realize that I posted this in the 6P section, but I did so with the belief that anyone who owns a Nexus device is going to be a supporter of all Nexus devices. Also, I assumed I would probably get more responses in this section.
