Hey guys. I'm "new" here on xda. I've been using this website from the shadows for years, but today I just can't solve this problem by myself.
The thing is, I owned a Moto G 2013 (16Gb) 2 years ago. Stock 4.4.4 KK, no problem at all. And I decided to OTA update it to LP 5.1.1, and after that, apply the NX ROM. Everything works just fine, not a single problem.... until my brother got a Moto G 4G LTE (1st gen) this Christmas.
He was 4.4.4 stock. The phone was from GB (not our country), Tesco version and it said it had no update to Lollipop, so I updated it with TWRP with original OTA firmware. Everything, again, okey (strangely, there is no 5.1.1 update available, anyone correct me if I'm wrong).
THE PROBLEM starts when we both use our phones at home, over the same WiFi network. If I have WiFi ON, and he doesn't, my phone internet is working. But if we both have the WiFi ON, randomly, one of the two will have working internet and the other will not.
I thought it's our ROMs the problem. I reverted to stock, recoveries, firmwares, radios, EVERYTHING. I got crazy finding a solution (I searched for solutions on Google in 3 languages). And right now, I just have the two phones, one next to the other, doind a web searching comparison, and as said:
- imagine my Moto G is "A" and his Moto G is "B"
- "A" and "B" with WiFi on
- Searching for Youtube con Google
- "A" works, "B doesn't"
- I turn off "A" WiFi, and instantly, "B" internet is working again
This drives me crazy, because we live in the same house, single router. We have a 50Mb real WiFi connection, set at Auto channel, channel width and 11bgn mixed mode. I tried using fixed channel, 20Mhz width channel, only 11n... nothing works.
We have other devices, a Samsung, a Sony and 4 PCs, and everybody has good internet, except our Moto G's when used at the same time. We have no neighbourgs (the only network in 50 meters is ours) so no channel fload from other WiFi signals.
I'm sorry for the wall text, but it just pisses me off that I have tried it everything, for almost a week, and no solution.
Thanks in advance!
